Access to clean water and adequate sanitation remains a critical challenge in rural areas, particularly in developing countries. This study examines the current state of water supply and sanitation systems in selected rural communities, identifies key challenges, and proposes sustainable solutions. Using a mixed-method approach, including surveys, interviews, and field observations, data were collected from 200 households across five rural communities. Statistical analysis revealed that 65% of households lack access to safe drinking water, while 58% practice open defecation due to inadequate sanitation facilities. The study highlights the need for community based interventions, government policies, and infrastructure development to improve water and sanitation systems. Recommendations include promoting low-cost water purification technologies, constructing improved latrines, and enhancing community awareness programs
